SUPREME Promotions CEO Isaiah Laing has issued the warning – Be early or miss a piece of the action!
The announcement was made on Tuesday at a press conference at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in New Kingston.

According to Laing, the show will begin promptly at 8:00 pm and any patron who arrives one minute past will miss a minute’s worth of performance.

Describing the line-up as stellar, he said: “This year we are gonna show Jamaica to the world… This will be [the] talk about for a long long time.”

Beginning at 12:00 midnight, the prime- time segment of the event, dubbed the greatest one-night show on earth, will be streamed live via Pay-Per-View.

Wyclef Jean, who is no stranger to Jamaica, expressed delight at being booked for the show.
“Sting is not an event where you can just say ‘I wanna be on the show’. No, you can easier make a deal with North Korea,” he told the roomful of reporters, artistes and others from the music industry, to much laughter and applause.

Jean also expressed his admiration of some of the stalwarts on Sting such as Ninjaman and Super Cat.

There was a light moment when Ninjaman reminded him that he was the boss when it comes to a lyrical clash.
“I’m very excited and looking forward to it,” Jean responded.

On Thursday, Super Cat, who figured in the infamous 1991 Sting clash with Ninjaman, will take the stage. It is left to be seen whether the two will have a lyrical face-off again.

Among the other artistes billed for the Boxing Day event are Beenie Man, Lady Saw, American rapper 2 Chainz, Tommy Lee Sparta and Mavado.
